Pilak in Tripura

Posted by Arun Mohan ~ on ~ 0 comments

Pilak is located at a distance of about hundred kilometers from Agartala in the lush green valley along with rich paddy-fields. Pilak with insufficient human environment and few highlands holds the key to state’s very old history. It is certainly a place of draw for its archaeological leftovers of eighth and ninth centuries.

The place shows us a blend of culture’s unity through the combination of holy places of Hindu and Buddhist faith. The Hindu and Buddhist statues are extraordinarily stunning and worth to visit. The overabundance of images set up here shows us the nonviolent co-survival of diverse faiths and divisions. Recently, Archaeological Survey of India visited the place and now they doing research on past history of the place to know more about the area and its old-world history.
