Neyyattinkkara, Trivandrum

Neyyattinkara name in Malayalam literally means Coast (Kara) of Neyyar river. Neyyar river flowing from Agasthyarkoodam, the highest mountain  at the southern end of the Western Ghats. It is a shrine and popular place of trekking.

Neyyattinkkara, 20 KM away from Trivandrum, is famous for Sree Krishna Swamy Temple, which is said to be made by Marthanda Varma Maharaja, during 18th Century.
