About two third of Earth is Ocean (70.8).  So Earth is known in the name of Water Planet. But only 3 percent of water is Pure.

The biggest ocean is Pacific Ocean. Ferdinand Magellan called the ocean “Pacific” due to its calmness.

The Atlantic Ocean is in the shape of English Letter “S”. The most popular Bermuda Triangle,

Sargasso Sea is also located in Atlantic Ocean.

The deepest part of Pacific Ocean is in Mariana Trench.

The depth of Challenger Deep in Mariana Trench of Pacific Ocean is 11,033 meter.

The deepest part of Atlantic Ocean is Puerto Rico Trench and the deepest part of Indian Ocean is Java Trench.

In Sea Water, about 77.8 percent is sodium chloride, 10.9 percent Magnesium chloride, 4.7 percent Magnesium Sulphate and 3.6 percent Calcium Sulphate.

Seawater composition (by mass) includes Oxygen (85.7 %), Hydrogen (10.8 %), Chlorine (1.9%), Sodium (1.05 %), Magnesium, Sulfur etc.

Assal Lake in Djibouti of Africa has the most saline water outside Antarctica.

The Gulf Stream provides good climatic conditions to live in North West Europe.

Humboldt Current, Kuroshio Current, Cromwell Current etc are ocean currents of Pacific Ocean.

Agulhas Current, Mozambique Current and Leeuwin Current are ocean currents of Indian Ocean.

Finland is called as a Land of a Thousand Lakes.

Almost 60 percent of lakes of world are located at Canada.
