Dhundiraj Govind Phalke: Born in Triambakeshwar near Nashik of Maharashtra in 1870 April 30. The first film of him was completed in 1913 by overcoming several problems. After the victory of his film ‘Raja Harischandra’, a film studio was established. He is called as the father of Indian Cinema, who has the name Dada Phalke. He was died in February 16 in 1944. ‘Dada Phalke Award’ is given by Indian Government for the awardee’s contribution towards Indian Cinema. It was Devika Rani Roerich, who was the first recepient of Dada Saheb Phalke Award (1969). The malayalee who got first Dada Saheb Award for first time is Adoor Gopalakrishnan (2004). The recipient of this award in 2012 is Pran Kisan Sikand.

Slumdog Millionaire: Slumdog Millionaire is the film released in 2008, which is a british film that became popular for several reasons. The thread of this cinema was a novel called Q & A written by Vikas Swarup in 2005. Daniel Boye is the director of this film. The indian native, Loveleen Tandan was the assistant director.

Slumdog Millionaire got ten oscar nominations in 2009.
